Stepper motor can't moveUpdated 9 months ago

If the stepper motor cannot run at all, or get stuck, and there is no ALARM in the software, please follow below steps to test:

!!! Please replace [Good motor] and [Bad motor] with the corresponding axis based on the actual situation.

E.g.: [Good motor] = [X motor]  (the motor can move normally)

[Bad motor] = [Z motor] (the one cannot run)

Step 1: Use the wire of the [Good motor] to connect the [Bad motor], and control via software, jog the machine

Result:

[Bad motor] can run normally → the [Bad motor] wire or the control board is defective (go to step 2)

[Bad motor] still cannot run → stepper motor is defective

Step 2: Use [Bad motor]'s wire to connect to [Good motor]'s control board port, and control via softaware to jog the stepper motor

Result:

[Bad motor] can run normally → control board is defective

[Bad motor] still cannot run → [Bad motor]'s wire is defective

Feel free to contact our agent for assistance if you have any questions about the testing.
