When limit switch can't workUpdated 2 days ago
If limit switch malfunction, homing fails, or no software alarm appears when manually pressing the switch, please follow the step-by-step troubleshooting below to identify the problem.
!!! Please replace [Good limit switch] and [Faulty limit switch] with the corresponding axis based on the actual situation.
E.g.: [Good limit switch] = [X limit switch] (the limit switch can work normally)
[Faulty limiti switch] = [Z limit switch] (the one cannot work)
Step 1: Disassemble the [Faulty limit switch] and wire it to an axis that runs normally.
Result:
- [Faulty limit switch] can not work, the problem lies with the limit switch.
- [Faulty limit switch] can work normally, the [Faulty limit switch] wire or the control board is defective(go to step 2)
Step 2: Then use the wire of the [Good limit switch] to connect the [Faulty limit switch] control board port, and trigger the [faulty limit switch]:
Result:
- [Faulty limit switch] can work normally → the [faulty limit switch] cable is defective.
- [Faulty limit switch] still can not work→ the motherboard is defective.
